Vehicle Information: Plate number, make, model, year, mileage.
Service Records: Appointment history, work orders, invoices, and payment records.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens (for notifications).
Location: Only when you explicitly use location-based features (find nearby workshops). We do not track your location in the background.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the URTech platform services
- To authenticate your identity (phone OTP verification)
- To facilitate appointment bookings and service tracking
- To send service-related notifications (appointment confirmations, job status updates)
- To process payments through third-party gateways
- To improve our platform and user experience
3. Data Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Your chosen workshop — so they can provide services (name, phone, vehicle details, appointment info)
- Payment processors — to process online payments (Billplz, Stripe)
- Notification services — to deliver push notifications and OTP messages
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Service records (work orders, invoices) are retained for the workshop's business and tax compliance purposes.
Upon account deletion, your personal information (name, phone, email, address) is anonymized immediately. Business records are de-identified but retained for legal compliance.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Token-based authentication (no passwords stored for customers)
- Tenant data isolation (each workshop's data is separated)
- Regular security reviews and testing
6. Your Rights
Under Malaysian law (Personal Data Protection Act 2010), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent — opt out of non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy
URTech is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Cookies & Analytics
Our web portal uses Google Analytics to understand usage patterns. No personal information is shared with analytics providers. The mobile app does not use cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or email.
